Justin Roff-Marsh (Managing Director)

Justin Roff-Marsh is the Managing Director of Ballistix, a marketing consultancy specialising in sales process engineering. He is also one of the founders of Payment Please, the fast-growing, technology-based, national debt collection firm.

Justin is Editor of AdVerb, a popular marketing newsletter – published by his consultancy, and read by more than five thousand business owners and executives around Australia.

He is widely acknowledged as Australia’s foremost expert on the marketing of services and high-value products. And he speaks regularly on this subject at conferences and seminars nationwide. He has lectured on a number of occasions at the Queensland University of Technology and on the government-funded FIG Program (designed to help IT companies become ‘investor-ready’).

The companies with which he has an association have a habit of exhibiting rapid – even exponential – growth. (In fact, Justin admits that, as a self-confessed ‘growth-addict’, he is often more bullish about his clients’ growth than even they are!)

Before he started Ballistix, eight years ago, Justin was a founding partner of a company called the Hudson Institute (then Hudson Research). The Hudson Institute has grown from an undercapitalised start-up (regarded by many to have few chances of survival) to a group of companies with sales in excess of $45 million a year.

In the years following the launch of his consultancy, Justin has had a considerable impact upon a number of local and international businesses – including:

  • The Achaeus Institute (Qld)

  • Hudson Institute (National)

  • Vision Publishing (NSW)

  • Wallace Bishop Jewellers (Qld)

  • J B Were & Son Stockbrokers (Qld)

  • Nightingale Conant Corporation (USA)

  • Jay Abraham (USA)

  • Flagstone Property (Vic)

  • EasySlim (National)

  • Business Queensland (and Business Sydney) (Qld)

  • McGrath Partners (NSW)

  • Pauls: Vaalia (Qld)

Justin spends most of his time consulting to our clients and speaking at seminars up and down the east coast of Australia.

Jason Connors heads our communications team. He is also both a director and shareholder of  Ballistix.

Jason first joined the consultancy as a copywriter. Over the years he has worked on hundreds of campaigns for scores of organizations — from management training programs to sophisticated software packages and heavy mining equipment. (Just to name a few!)

Today, Jason works closely with the creative team to produce the communications collateral required to make sales processes sell.

He has considerable direct marketing experience and a comprehensive understanding of marketing strategy and sales process design.

In 1997 Jason was a finalist in the Australian Young Direct Marketer of the Year award. He also has a Bachelor of humanities (media major) and a graduate diploma in communications.

Jason is also responsible for the day-to-day management of Ballistix.
